Program Coordinator (Chicago- South)

Basic Function:
Develops and administers after school and Saturday program under the general direction of the Operations Manager.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
• Plans, develops and supervises all facets of the program components consistent with agency, funding, policies and community needs.
• Develops and implements program components including: tutoring, ACT preparation, college counseling, recreation, sports, community service, life skills, music production, journalism, and entrepreneurship
• Meet with partner school administration and staff to determine academic needs of program participants
• Recommends budget allocations with the approval of the Operations Manager
• Prepares and implements staff training programs.
• Coordinate program schedule including parent meetings, tutoring sessions, one-on-one meetings with students, college visits, cultural activities, community service opportunities, job shadowing, and internships.
• Establishes and maintains appropriate relationships with students, parents, staff, students, and agencies.
• Introduce innovative curriculum components focused on journalism, music production, and entrepreneurship
• Recruits a minimum of 100 high school students, maintain ongoing enrollment, and wait list.
• Research, evaluate, and prepare recommendations on curricula, instructional methods, and materials
• Observe work of teaching staff to evaluate performance, and to recommend changes that could strengthen teaching skills.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelors in education, social work, journalismor similar field
• Good presentation, communication and writing skills
• Three (3) years experience in working with low-income students, first generation college students
• Three (3) years experience in managing budgets and program operations
• Certified teaching experience preferred
• Knowledge of academic and social needs of low-income students
• Experience in working with students of diverse backgrounds

Online Trainer

Position Summary:

This Contractor role requires the ability to develop and administer webinars focused on our technology product donation programs in collaboration with Client Services, and our Product and Community teams. The Online Trainer will work with the Training & Outreach Manager to produce free online events for our nonprofits and library users to help them make the most of our product donation programs. - Development and management of new webinar series focused on our product donation programs from idea to completion
- Create curriculum for webinar series in collaboration with Client Services
- Manage the registration and outreach process for webinars
- Recruit and train presenters

- Work with Content Team staff to identify additional content for posting on the site (blog posts, articles, and screencasts) related to the webinar series.

- Background as trainer, conducting online seminars a plus
- Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Comfortable with public speaking
- Understanding of the technology needs of nonprofits and libraries preferred
- Excellent computer skills
- Knowledge of web conferencing tools (GotoWebinar, ReadyTalk, WebEx) a plus
- Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
- Critical thinking and creative ideas required
- Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks required
