Let's raise awareness about the destruction of Al-Aqsa!

The Israelis in Jerusalem have slowly yet surely begun to demolish Al-Aqsa Mosque, a holy site for Muslims and is a relic from the ancient times and was built in the late 7th century C.E. As this precious and holy site gets destroyed, the world goes on unaware. We need to raise awareness of this growing problem and have it show on BBC and CNN so the world can be aware, and perhaps the demolition will stop.

AHAVA: stop exploiting resources of occupied West Bank #bds

Ahava promises “Beauty Secrets from the Dead Sea.” And wait until you hear those secrets!
Because Ahava is hiding the ugly truth—its products actually come from stolen Palestinian natural resources in the Occupied Territory of the Palestinian West Bank, and are produced in the illegal settlement of Mitzpe Shalem. Don’t let the “Made in Israel” sticker fool you—when you buy Ahava products you help finance the destruction of hope for a peaceful and just future for both Israelis and Palestinians.

Ahava puts a pretty face on its crimes, even paying Oxfam Ambassador and “Sex in the City” star Kristen Davis to be its spokeswoman. But here’s what Oxfam itself has to say about Ahava’s deceptive packaging:

Flags at half mass

Our american flag needs to be flown at half mass till all of our soldiers come back from overseas. We have had an alarming toll of american military killed in afganistan and Iraq. Lets get this to government so all flags have to be flown at half mass till everyone comes home.

No Punishment for Resisting Illegal Settlement

No Jewish-Only City inside Beit Sahour

Don't Let the IDF Kidnap Mazin Qumsiyeh

In the 70's the Israeli army seized 670 dunums of private land in the Palestinian town of Beit Sahour which is next to Bethlehem and expanded a military base built on Palestinian lands.  According to the land seizure order the land would go back to the Palestinian owners once the army stopped using it.  The base was used to shell Palestinian homes, damaging or destroying some 300 over the years.

House Armed Services: read the Eikenberry cables. #Afghanistan

Tell members of the House Armed Services Committee to read the Eikenberry memos before writing a 2011 budget for the Afghanistan war.

This year, 30,000 additional American troops will be deployed to Afghanistan – despite the fact that the U.S. Ambassador to Afghanistan expressly opposed troop escalation in two strongly worded cables sent to the White House in 2009.

The White House ignored his warnings and sent troops anyway.

What should Obama do in Afghanistan?
