There is a dangerous precedent from the recent supreme courts decision to enable the same rights and freedoms to corporations as individuals.It only takes a moment of time to reflect on the ramifications of such a precedent.CONSIDER giving corporations the the right to sue you for saying something about their product and being held liable for it. Take your opinion about what you put in your body. What you eat, what you drink. Do you want your right to free speech now to be under the thumb of corporate interests.DO YOU want to allow corporations to make their bottom line a matter of a courts ruling on what you say or do?THIS IS SOMETHING THAT NEEDS NATIONAL REVIEW and the people should be consulted. The supreme court has taken more and more liberties to better represent corporate america's interests over ours. SHOULD THIS BE STOPPED?

All across the nation, some U.S. citizens have to deal with slow dial-up or costly satellite internet because they are being left out of the highspeed infrastructure. Let's get this changed. Propel the U.S. into the 21st century. This could mean better service for all!

Farmville Addicts, serious or not?

In cities across the US urban parents and city visitors are in need of safe means of transporting their children.

In Chicago and NY in particular where there are thousands of cabs, a safe option for transporting your child in them is not readily available. In addition, taxis are exempt from most car seat and seat belt regulations.

Since 1975, motor vehicle crashes have been the leading cause of death for children in the United States (NHTSA, 2002, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2006). Use of an age- and size-appropriate restraint is the most effective strategy for preventing injury and death to children involved in crashes.

As of March 2006 (4 years ago) there were 12,779 yellow cabs operating in New York City alone. When you consider that a USA Today study in New York City revealed in 2000 that over 2,600 children were injured in the 17,000 taxi-related accidents, a year when their were substantially less cabs than in 2006, let alone 2010 – the need for car seats in taxis is ever more pressing.
