Saving Bandit

-

Bandit is a Border Collie that was taken to Wasilla, Alaska from Rhode Island after Michael Crawley confessed to his mother that he was "having sexual relations" with his dog. His mother was upset and went a little off the deep end. But I believe anyone would. She called us for help at Eagle's Den Rescue for help.
While on the flight to Alaska, Michael's plane stopped in Minnesota to PUT HIM OFF fot drunk and disorderly conduct and for making violent threats. Bandit continued on to Wesilla in the cargo section of the plane. Michael's father: Cyril Crawley of Wasilla, Alaska said he would meet Bandit's plane and accept custody of him. He also agreed to KEEP BANDIT AWAY from Michael.

Tell Romney and Republicans: Stop LGBT Bullying

-

Nine out of ten LGBT students are bullied in school.

Congressman Jared Polis and Senator Al Franken have taken on this difficult issue by offering the Student Non-Discrimination Act. The bill would simply give gay and lesbian kids the same civil rights protections guaranteed by other anti-discrimination laws. t's common sense, but Republicans in Congress won't bring it to a vote and Mitt Romney refuses to say whether he supports it.

Call on Romney and Congressional Republicans today to support the Student Non-Discrimination Act.

New Study: Donations Decline for Nonprofits

-

Many of Frogloop's readers are professional nonprofit fundraisers who watch trends like a hawk -- at least when those trends affect fundraising results across sectors and channels.

Of the different trend-spotting resources, few are as important and authoritative as the "donorCentrics Index of National Fundraising Performance" published quarterly by Target Analytics, a division of Blackbaud.

Yesterday in Washington, DC, Target's senior fundraising analyst Paige Grainger gave a terrific "state of the nonprofit industry" talk, which summarized key findings from Target's latest, 2011 Index. The full report is here.  Paige spoke at a luncheon that Care2 sponsored of the Direct Marketing Association of Washington (DMAW).

Our next meeting will be June 7 at 6:30 pm, and Ben Kutil, a local designer, will explain the theory behind design and talk about a few of the rules designers follow. Interested in attending? You can RSVP online.
