Join a committed team of professionals in providing counseling and recovery services to adults with mental illness at a residential program in Malden .

Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee the day to day operation and overall service delivery of assigned residential program.
• Coordinate and oversee all case management related services for consumers in the program.
• Maintain any consumer funds in the program as applicable.
• Follow all agency policies in terms of managing finances and maintain all required documentation in an accurate manner.
• Act as liaison for program in communicating with consumers' day programs, medical services, psychiatric services, family members and any other providers/individuals involved in consumer care.
• Be able to recognize and respond to symptoms of mental illness and/or emotional distress. Assist consumers with identifying and utilizing coping skills as needed.
Qualifications:
Must have bachelor's degree or master's degree in psychology, social work or related field and three years experience. Must have a strong commitment to mental health recovery. Must have ability to provide supervision and leadership to direct care staff. Must have skills to establish supportive relationships with persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses and respect for their preferences for treatment. Must have ability to provide flexible services that are community based and focused on team work

Part time pre-school teacher (Roxbury, MA)

Project Hope seeks a qualified preschool teacher to staff its classroom in the Child Care Center at 45 Magnolia Street. The classroom houses 18 preschoolers. Duties include implementing curriculum, creating an orderly and interactive space for the children, assisting in the evaluation process, establishing respectful relationships with children, staff and parents, maintaining written records, participating in meetings, trainings, and conferences, conducting housekeeping activities, and assisting with the coordination of all classroom and center activities.

This is a part-time position; 1:30 -- 5:30, Monday through Friday.

Dual Diagnosis Clinician

Eliot's Adult Mental Health Division provides an integrated and comprehensive network of services to adults with psychiatric disabilities that promote consumer rights, responsibilities, rehabilitation, and recovery. Eliot Community Human Services is seeking a dedicated Master's level Dual Diagnosis Clinician for the Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT). PACT is an evidenced based multidisciplinary outreach mental program that serves adults with serious and persistent mental illnesses in the community. PACT clinicians work as a team to collaborate with consumers to develop treatment interventions that assist them in the recovery process

Responsibilities':

• Participate in completing substance abuse assessments .
• Participate in treatment planning meetings on a weekly basis through written documentation and clinical discussions.
• Act as a primary case manager consumers
• Provide individualized therapy to reduce consumers' symptoms and carry out each intervention indicated on consumer treatment plan either as primary case manager or mini-team member

Qualification:

Licensed substance abuse clinician in Massachusetts or posses a CADAC or LADAC and/or be a licensed clinician with at least a master's degree in mental health counseling, social work, criminal justice, education or psychology and have 2 years of experience working with people who are dually diagnosed. Strong clinical skills with at least 2 year of experience working with people with severe and persistent mental illnesses. Experience developing and facilitating dual diagnosis groups, motivational interviewing, harm reduction techniques, 12 step programs, detoxification facilities and evidenced based practices for dual diagnosis.

A short term 24 hour assessment program for DCF assigned children ages 2-12 years old located in Waltham, is seeking for a female Group Care Worker I. This position provides daily coordination of direct-care staff and youth in executing the plan of the day in accordance with the program, DCF, DEEC and ECHS policies and procedures. Responsibilities include: Ensuring that required programming is followed Maintaining safety and security of the program Transporting residents Maintaining proper documentation Communicating effectively with children, families, and funding source personnel and administration. Shift available: Tuesday- Saturday 6am - 2pm.

Pay: $13.00 per hour

Qualifications: BA/BS in related field and one year related experience with population preferred. Candidates must be at least 21 years old with a valid MA driver's license and reliable transportation. Ideal candidate must be a positive role model with energy and creativity.

YouthWorks Case Manager (South Shore)

BACKGROUND: The Summer 2012 YouthWorks program will provide subsidized employment to youth between the ages of 14 and 21 who, at the current time, live in Quincy, Weymouth, Plymouth and Randolph. The actual program dates will run between early July and mid-August 2012, with program ramp-up to begin immediately and wrap-up activities anticipated to run through early- to mid-September. Targeted youth to be enrolled in this program will have a family income not exceeding 200% of the federal poverty guidelines, which includes youth eligibility for the national free or reduced lunch program, as well as another barrier to employment.

POSITION: The South Shore Workforce Investment Board is seeking up to two Case Managers support this program. In partnership with the local town and/or high school, the Case Manager will meet with potential program enrollees, collect eligibility documentation, match enrollees to jobs and provide on-site case management, The case load will be approximately 20 youth.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a grant-funded position with an anticipated start date of no later than June 1, 2012 and a formal grant end date of September 30, 2012.
Report to: YouthWorks Program Manager

JOB DUTIES:

 Share YouthWorks program application and additional, mandated forms with internal staff (teachers, guidance counselors, etc.) for distribution to local students/youth
 Ensure completion of application and collection of documentation
 Forward applicant files to Program Manager for confirmation of eligibility and entry into MOSES database
 Collect skills and interest assessment data for eligible youth
 Match youth to local job opportunities
 Teach safety and workplace readiness training week prior to placement
 Serve as primary point of contact and support for program participants
 Work with Program Manager to ensure completion of Work-Based Learning Plans, including two reviews
 Partner with Program Manager to ensure student and employer satisfaction
 Collect timesheets from students and deliver to payroll provider
 Pick up paychecks and hand deliver them to students
 Provide individual case management services to youth on as-needed basis
 Lead weekly 2-hour work readiness workshop/group case management, including on the job communication skills as well as group problem-solving and journaling
 Ensure completion of individual "transition" plans to identify post-employment goals
 Perform additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Associate's Degree minimum, Bachelor's Degree preferred. Desire to work with high school age youth. At least 3 years of experience in providing case management services to at-risk youth. Job placement experience preferred. Teachers, guidance counselors and other professionals with direct youth services provision experience encouraged to apply. Must be well-organized, flexible, MS Office proficient, skilled in use of the Internet, quick learner. Desire and ability to work as a team member essential. Must have own, reliable transportation and valid drivers license. Job offer dependent on successful CORI.

Protect the Environment: Help Direct a Clean Air Campaign

Learn to Run a Field Campaign!

Grassroots Voter Outreach is hiring and training Campaign Office Directors to run petitioning drives this spring and summer. You will build and manage a staff of 20-40 petitioners, orchestrate the logistics of a campaign office, and mobilize hundreds of thousands of people around important issues. You will be a part of one of the largest environmental campaigns this year.

If you're ready to take on the challenge, you will have the opportunity to make the biggest impact on our environment as quickly and directly as possible.

Right now Grassroots Voter Outreach is working with a coalition of environmental organizations, including Environment America, the League of Conservation Voters, and the Sierra Club. The campaign is to raise awareness and build support for Clean Air standards to be set by the EPA. This is a rare chance to take control away from dirty special interests and protect public health, and there are only a few months left to act!

Job Responsibilities:
Recruitment: Quickly build a team of 15-40 petitioners by recruiting from within the local community. Interview prospective staff and make hiring decisions.
Staff Management: Teach petitioning skills. Work with your staff in individual and group settings, with a particular eye towards developing leaders.
Petitioning: Gather petitions in the field at least three days per week to generate public comments and to train new and experienced staff in the field.
Administration: Carefully track the progress of the campaign within your office. Manage the budget and payroll for your office. Maintain records for future organizing efforts.

Qualifications:
Strong communication and motivational skills, work ethic, and desire to protect the environment are essential. Candidates must be able to work within a team, have proven leadership ability and experience handling a lot of responsibility. Strong self-direction and the ability to take initiative are also necessary qualifications. Previous field or canvassing experience is a plus, and may qualify candidates for additional leadership positions.

Training:
Newly hired campaign directors will typically spend three weeks doing field training, working intensely alongside experienced directors. Directors will also attend weekend-long classroom training. Additionally, directors receive support from regional management staff throughout their time on staff.

Expectations:
Minimum commitment through the end of the election which includes the Clean Air Defense Campaign through the middle of the summer and at least one other campaign through the election. Long-term opportunities available. Campaign hours can run 80-100 hours per week, including work on weekends.

Salary/Benefits: Annual salary for campaign directors begins at $24,000. Staff may opt into our health care plan (PPO). Paid training, vacation and sick days are included; student loan assistance is available.

Positions are available starting in March in the following locations:
Pennsylvania: Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs
Ohio: Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati
Virginia: Washington, D.C. and northern Virginia; Richmond; and Norfolk
