*FIGHT for ECONOMIC JUSTICE - JOBS to MAKE A DIFFERENCE! $400-600/wk!* (Main Line)

Corporations and their CEOs are currently paying a smaller percentage of taxes than the average working American family earning $50,000 a year. If everyone paid their fair share in this country, we could be creating millions of jobs. That's why we're launching a huge, national campaign to give every American a fair shot. We are hiring full-time staff here in the Philadelphia area to build the grassroots support it will take to win this campaign.

Fair Share Alliance works to provide every American with a fair shot at a good job, a secure future and a strong voice in our democracy. But powerful, entrenched interests are gaming the system to their benefit, while denying everyone else a fair shot. We need to stand up to the 1% and their allies in Congress that block progress at every turn. However, changing the status quo won't be easy. It's going to take a movement of active citizens mobilizing the public to fight for real solutions that will create good jobs and a fair economy. It's going to take YOU!

California: Don't Reverse Foie Gras Ban!

-

In 2004, the California Legislature scheduled a ban on foie gras that is planned to take effect on July 1, 2012. Recently, 100 California chefs signed a petition to overturn the ban. Some chefs are visiting state legislators in an attempt to find a sponsor for a bill that would overturn the ban.

Foie gras is French for "fat liver." Its production involves inserting a tube down a bird's throat and force feeding it so its liver becomes engorged. While some foie gras producers are more humane than others, all use the unatural practice of force-feeding birds to create an unecessary and unhealthy food.

Foie gras was once forbidden in the U.S. and is currently banned in the U.K. and several other European countries. Please sign the petition to support the scheduled foie gras ban in California.

Boehner: End Republicans' Anti-Women Agenda

-

Washington's Republicans have been playing politics with women ever since they gained power in Congress. They've attacked women's right to contraception. They've inserted the government into women's health care decisions. They've even voted against the Violence Against Women Act, turning a law that protects women and prevents domestic violence into a political charade.

Some Republicans claim they're not waging a War on Women -- but one look at their records exposes their anti-women agenda.

We need to send a message to House Speaker John Boehner and his Republican Party that they need to respect women. Tell Congressional Republicans to back off their War on American Women.
